Do I get free internet access?

I am going to Beach Club on an RCI exchange but I happen to be a DVC member. Do I get free internet? Wishful thinking, I know.

You can certainly ask, but since the reservation was not made thru MS using your points (or cash) you probably won't be identified as a member in the system and your room ID won't likely say "DVC Member" either.

According to the DVC Vacation Planner 2010

'Members staying at any Disney Vacation ClubResort using their Membership (booked through Member Services) will not be charged the daily high-speed Internet access fee'

So , officially, you will not have free internet.

But this is the 'official' version. In real life, I do not know if , since you are a member, they will give it anyway...

Let us know, this is a very interesting point.

If not staying using DVC points the rules say "no" but MS at times, do what ever they like, irregardless of the rules!

While there have been exceptions, the technical answer is clearly no. Personally I disagree with the decision but I do understand it (same for the $95 fee for members) but it's still cheaper/better to get an exchange and pay the few extras than use your points.

No wireless (unless you bring your own router).

You will find a cord in the closet.
