Oh GEE! I can't believe I'm even able to write this!
Short story..dh took a position in another state 17 months ago! We have been trying to sell our house for that long...finally bit the bullet and moved to the same state 3 months ago...we have a rule that when we move (we've moved 5x in 10 years) we go to Disney!
Well, to help us deal with the separation of dh being in another state for 12 months (he came home weekends)...we would all get into the planning of our "moving" trip.
Short shorter story....I have planned and cancelled 4 trips in the past 15 months...yes, I went through all the pains of getting "Cindy"...planning out all the dining....and all that. Somehow, I felt if I "planned" it...it would become reality.
Just little bit more...we GOT A CONTRACT on our house in TN today!!! They will close 8/31...the trip I planned goes 9/12-9/19....so can I officially dance yet or should I wait until the first of September? I'm so torn...
The kids know we'll go but not when...trying to figure out if we should surprise them...and I want to do the happy dance because it's the last happy dance we'll do atleast until they're grown and on their own...we are NOT moving again and we've got the next 10 years of vacations planned out....no time or $$ for Disney...trying to see the "world" while we can and Epcot just won't cut it for us anymore.
So help me decide whether or not to do the happy yet...
And get me excited about the Contemporary...the theming freaks me out but the price saving over other deluxe's that fit five was too appealing to resist. Our kids are 10, 7 & 6 and we love monorail...hoping the garden wings are a good deal.
Oh, and our house wasn't an Addams family home, we were just unlucky in that they're still building new homes and although ours was only 3 years old...we couldn't compete with the deals the builders gave new buyers....we took a bit of a loss on the house...but it's hopefully not ours by 9/1. And hopefully the escrow refund will cover this Disney trip!
Just had to get it out there to make it seem real this time!
Oh! And we're on the dining plan...anyone got a firm answer on if we can pool credits? I was thinking of sharing my husband's meal 2x and having my two young bird eaters share meals for 2x so we could get into Yachtsman Steakhouse and not have to lose a dining opp. We're hoping to not have to pay for any food out of pocket to help our budget. And is YS really worth 2 dining credits? Dh deserves the best steak meal dining credits can buy after what he's had to go through this past year, and the kids want to share it with him...it's our "WE SOLD THE HOUSE" special dinner. They're very well behaved and the fine dining/dress doesn't concern me. Thanks!
Tara
