Do Hard Rock check ages for FOTL

I will be at the Hard Rock next week and have a deluxe room booked. There are five of us, one person is 18. Do I have to pay extra (is he considered an adult). If I say he is 17 will they want to see I.D. for the FOTL pass???

the only thing you have to show for FOTL is your key card and that is it!!!

Yes, you have to pay extra for your 18 year old at the resort. We have two extra's staying with us at Portofino and they cost us $20 extra a piece. Plus, there is a rollaway bed charge of $25. We have a family of 5 too.

They don't check ages, but, everyone in your party must have a room key to use front of the line..so he just can't be in your room.

We had 5 adults in our room at RPR and just paid the extra person charge... so he could have a room key

Age has nothing to do with it.

My son is 18 (won't be 19 til Nov.) and RPR is not charging us the extra $25 per night adult charge. They said they would still count him as a child for this July's trip. Whew! I was all set to pay the extra per night too.

A question. If you have five in your room but the extra person is under 18 do you have to pay the extra person charge?

If the 18 yo is a dependant child (still going to school) I would tell them they are 17. I've never had them ask for ID for my kids before.

We just got back with a recently turned 18 yo. Her room card said she was a child. No one said a thing.

They will not charge you an extra fee unless you request a roll-a-way for the 5th one.
They will allow you up to 2-Adults & 3-Under 18 children for just the single price of the room but charge for the roll-a-way. I never get the roll-a-way. When there are the 5 of us, I bring my own air-mattress.

So, from what I am reading here, I should just call and tell Loew's that I need a room for 5 and lie when they ask me the children's ages? Because they do ask.

We have two that are 18 and older and one that is 16. I originally made my reservation on the web site. I just typed in that we had 4 adults and one child because the child had to be 17 or younger. Just sounds dishonest to not disclose ages.

Familyof14, when you call Loew's directly, their policy is "18 and under are considered children". I had explained to them that my son had turned 18 in Nov. and for this July's ressie they said he would still be considered a child. I ended up calling them directly because of the online child category only going up to 17. We stayed up in Philly for NYE and they used the same policy of not charging our son as an adult. There will only be 4 of us in the room but if I wanted a rollaway for one of my sons, it would be $25 per night for it. Luckily, my 15 yr. old found his twin airbed comfortable enough last year to use again this time.

Eclpz314 - You did the right thing. My DD is now 19 and the other is 23.

Our air mattress is a double...too heavy to pack. If we could find a deal on a single, we could try that so that we do not have to pay another $25 for a rollaway. We tried taking the single pool type float when our children were younger. DS was about 6 and suppose to sleep on it. He ended up getting strep. The floats didn't hold air when we tried to put one of the girls on it, so we ended up getting a rollaway.

Familyof14, airbeds are on sale right now at Kmart...twin size for $10(not sure if it has pump included like mine did) It's the same Northwest Territory one that my son used last year and will use this year. I'd post the link but I'm not sure how to do it. Go to Kmart.com and then "weekly ad" then "sporting goods. I ordered mine online last year and it came in 7 days.

Funny that I checked Kmart's web page yesterday and didn't see anything. I will check again. Hopefully, they have them in stock. Can you blow the mattress up with a hairdryer? That's how our double works. No worries about carrying around a pump (which we already have but it is a little big).

I guess a hairdryer would work. I liked the idea of using the pump to deflate the darn thing too! It completely flattens it for packing. Ours also came w/ a storage bag which we were also able to fit the sheets, and two repair patches(luckily we didn't need those....yet )
