Do DVCers get a discount on WDW Hotels?

We are new to DVC but we have this goal to stay at every hotel on property. The plan is to save pts and stay Fr/Sa at a different WDW Hotel each trip and then move over to a DVC resort for the week.

Does anyone else do this??

Do DVCers ger a discount on WDW rooms comparable to post card rates?

For our Aug. trip we are paying cash(with 25% DVC discount) for Fri. and Sat and using points for the rest of the week., but our entire stay is at SSR(2bedroom).

I think the 25% discount only applies at DVC resorts.

If you get the annual pass with the DVC member discount, you can usually use the annual pass to get a discount on WDW resorts.

There is no DVC discount for regular WDW hotels. There is a 25% member discount at DVC resorts, subject to availability.

As rigsby25 suggests, the DVC discounted AP can, seasonally, get some nice room only discounts at WDW resorts.

In my case, the AP rate was much better than the DVC 25% member discount.
