Do DVC emmbers who bought after the 'dreaded' 2016 deadline

I just registered for Epcot MM this morning and it said it was not open to those who bought resale after 4/2016.

Post 4/4/2016 resale only purchasers are only eligible for:
DVD rentals at resort
Pool Hopping
Access to the Top of the World Lounge (at BLT)

Events have been scheduled across the entire year:
Magic Kingdom: Late February/Early March
Typhoon Lagoon: Late June/Early July
Animal Kingdom: September
Disneyland: November
Epcot: December (new this year)

The 2017 MK events were announced in Dec 2016, with the remaining events announced in early Jan 2017.

The events that require a direct buy are a marketing event, they are the brain child of the current DVD/DVC VP. The offering can change as he sees fit or could disappear altogether.

BTW the 'pool hopping' benefit has SO MANY restrictions, it doesn't seem like much of a benefit to me. (excludes best pools, etc etc)
