I am dying here watching my dog sleep. Her little legs are going and she is fast asleep.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
She is either running from something, or its dinner time:rotfl2:

Judging by my dog they do! My beagle moves her legs, twitches, she'll even let out a little bark sometimes. And on occasion, her tale will wag! At least then I know its a happy dream for her.

Definitely::yes:: . I can even tell what she's dreaming about. When she growls and barks-I just know it's about those darn chipmunks outside. They are her nemesis.:sad2:

Yes. Ours will squeal and somewhat bark like they are chasing something.

Hell yeah! Our dog runs and barks in his sleep :)

I think they do , our Rottie runs in his sleep and "talks" in his sleep everyday at some point. I work at a vet clinic and he sits under my desk alot and I can hear him all day LOL

I hate when he has a nightmare in the middle of the night ! I always have him up my crack after I wake him from it .

Yep, he had a cracking one last night, hind legs pedalling and twitching. I try not to laugh out loud since I don't want to wake him up, but I just couldn't help it when he started making these really odd little noises, like piggy squeals. Sometimes I really wonder what goes on in that furry little head. :goodvibes

My dog does the same, its the fastest i've seen him move in years:rotfl:

Rink does... he yips and barks and makes odd noises he only makes when he is asleep.. and his legs move!

My dog certainly does! She usually does the little barks, but once I was woken up by her smacking me with her tail that was wagging.

You bet they do! Our pup was so "active" in his sleep when we first got home that I asked the vet if it was normal because I thought he was having seizures! lol. He still does it too; his legs go so fast, his eyes are partially opened and they move a mile a minute looking all around and he yelps. I notice it more after he's had a really active day, he's a border collie and they live to play so I think he is reinacting his day during his sleep. :goodvibes

Our older border collie must have pleasant dreams cuz he wags his tail in his sleep, it really is the cutest thing. I always wonder what he's dreaming about.

Dogs most likely dream (as do most mammals). They go through REM (rapid eye movements) and SWS (slow wave sleep) just like people, and have heightened mental activity during REM cycles and show the behaviors (leg kicking, whining, barking, ect) that have been mentioned.

Not only do dogs dream, but they have nightmares as well. My dog Murphy, who we have had only for 8 months, has the worst nightmares. He starts to breathe really fast, his legs start to twitch, and then he growls and whines. And this is a dog who never ever growls when he is awake. We are the 3rd home that I know of that he has had. Poor baby, I just hate to think what all he has been thru.:sad1:
