I'm trying to decide to get our luggage ourselves or put the tags on and trust them. I think my biggest worry is not getting our luggage because after staying at DW, we're moving on to cruise...

So, are they flimsy like the cruise tags, like paper and could fall off? Or are they more plastic type? thanks. Please reassure me!

They're I guess Tyvek-like. They're VERY similar to the tags the SkyCap or airline counter person puts on the handle of your luggage to indicate its destination - and you know how hard those are to get off :teeth:.

A yellow ME tag's coming off should be extremely rare, but ME can still track down and deliver the luggage without the yellow tag. Some guests have relied on the latter procedure, presenting baggage claim checks at the ME welcoming area, when the yellow tags did not arrive in the mail before the start of the vacation, or at the resort if the luggage did not arrive when expected.

The two ends are designed to stick to each other and if you do that (wrapping it around a handle), you will have no problem.

However, if you are placing them on something like a footlocker or plastic tote and need to lay them flat, I would put some clear packing tape or something similar extra to secure them to the luggage. (Just don't cover the bar code).
