Do Disney Visa Rewards Expire?

Hi All,

I have applied for the card in hopes of earning some rewards toward a trip. I would like to know if it is possible to either save the points or the reward certs for any length of time, or do they expire at a particular date. I thought maybe I saw that the certs expired, but I was wondering about the points.

You have 5 years from the time that you earn your rewards dollars until they expire. A very good reason to plan that return trip to WDW! Personally, I couldn't wait 5 years between visits.

As mad4themouse said, the points expire 5 years after earning them. The certs also have an expiration date. I redeemed some points a couple of weeks ago and I believe the expiration date was Dec 2004.
I figure if you redeem your points at 5 years and then you have another year on your certificates and then you could buy a voucher for a pass (which wouldn't ever expire (or Disney Dollars). So, I suppose you could really stretch it out indefinately...

I couldn't wait 5 years either. We are going in Dec, but I was thinking ahead for the next trip, probably in a couple years. Next year is Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. I am hoping I can earn enough rewards to gradually get some PHPs and save them. That is by far our biggest expense, and only going to get worse because next time two more of my kids will need adult passes, as opposed to only one now. Even two or three passes would be a blessing!

I was thinking of charging whatever bills I can get away with and groceries/clothing/whatever and paying it off each month. Hope I can manage to rack up some points that way.

We've been using our Disney card daily for everything!!! I was scared to rack up charges on the card but discovered they have a wonderful website and I pay my charges online DAILY. I go to the grocery store, dry cleaning, $2 hallmark card or whatever and add up my totals for the day and then go online to pay from our checking account. Its totally free and easy. We've earned 100 points (that's $10000!) in a few months.

That sounds like a great set-up! I think it's wonderful you can pay your bill off daily!!!

Now I can't wait to get the card because I know if I use it the way you do, I can do the same.

How long does it take to come?
