Do Disney Store cast members still get their discounts?

I heard that they may be getting rid of some of the discounts that Disney Store cast members get - discounts on park tickets, discounts on Disney hotels, etc. They may have already made that change to getting rid of the discounts. I don't know. Just wondering if anyone else has heard of this or know what's going on?

If you are a CM you should ask your manager for details. I know that they did do away with free park admittance for CM's as of January, but many CM's didn't know this was even a perk. Some did some did not. I believe that they still get the 2 1-day hoppers twice a year though (at least last I heard). I haven't worked at TDS since late last summer. As for shopping/meal discounts I was check with your manager and if they aren't sure they can direct you where to call for the information.

No info here on the CM discount-I was considering working at our local store last year. Decided I couldn't.

I have used my discounts for resorts just yesterday. I booked a feb trip and a march trip, was quoted my DS CM price on both resorts. As for tickets, I was told when hired that was a perk but I have AP already so it didn't effect me anyway now that there are no more free days with id. As for free passes twice a year, I guess I am still too new because I wasn't told I would be getting them.

I am currently a cast member for the disney store for the past 2 years and I just started with disney when they just gave the perk of getting in free to the parks to the cast members with just our id. Now that is no longer. We cannot use our id's to get in free. It stinks. We still get our free passes twice a year and our discount on hotels. There has been talk of disney doing away with the hotel discount. If that does happen then I am sure there will be many, many castmembers that will not stay!!

Our best friends daughter works at a Disney Store here in Cincinnati and they were told that they lose their hotel and pass discounts beginning in January, 2004. They heard they were selling the stores. I haven't talked to her since New Years Eve to see if that has changed.

Does anyone know what type of rates Disney cast member's get on park tickets? Also, can Disney cast members make reservations for other people, and still get the discount? My mom is a cast member, looking for all the deals I can.

I believe the cm has to be present to check in the friend or family member with the hotel discount.
