Do Disney restaurants card everyone?

I know there is probably no concrete answer for this, but I'm wondering what people have experienced. Do restaurants request ID for alcohol purchases for everyone who looks under a certain random age like 40? I know I have seen signs here in PA that say they are required to card anyone who looks under (I believe) age 35. Or do they really only ask people who look close to or under 21? Just wondering if I need to carry my ID, since we will have a credit card linked to our MBs I really wasn't planning to take anything else. We aren't big drinkers, and if I was turned down because I didn't have my ID it wouldn't be the end of the world, but I may want to indulge in a cocktail at some point.

Based on personal experience (I'm 53) you can never be certain that you will not be carded at WDW. Bring your ID if you plan to order a cocktail, unless you would vastly prefer to go without the ID.

I'd say it's safe to have it on you, though I've never been carded at WDW. Here at home some places card everyone. The last guy that carded me got a big ol kiss on the cheek! (He'll think twice before doing that again I'll bet ya!) My 29 yo daughter was carded every time!

I was 55 at the time and got carded, the look on my face got a quick response from the CM that they are suppose to ask if selling alcohol. I'm sure a lot of CM's do not but, as you can see, it can happen even if it's obvious that the person is over 21.
Not sure who you are going with, but my DW always gives me her ID since I carry a small travel wallet when at WDW or other parks.

I worked in a liquor store and after a while, I got okay at telling but if there was even a QUESTION, I'd ask. I wasn't about to risk a huge fine or jail time to avoid inconveniencing people. (And I'd have to ID everyone in the purchasing party. So if anyone in a group was under 21 and not obviously someone's child, NO ID, no drink. I once got a congrats from the Sheriff who was in line when I busted a carload of teenagers sending the one legal adult in to buy their booze.)

I've been carded and I've been without my ID. They didn't care that I looked quite a bit older than 21. No ID, no drink. So you could probably go without it, but don't get upset when you can't buy a drink.

It's always a good idea to have some form of ID on you anyways, even if your MagicBand has your card. You never know when you might need it.

They check our ID every time. When I don't feel like carrying a purse/bag, DH keeps either my license or my state ID in his wallet.

Even with your Magic Bands it is always smart to take a little cash. More than once I have ran across a kiosk that had computer problems and were operating on a cash only basis. Plus, you will want a medical card with you, just in case. Take your ID.

I couldn't tell you whether they card everyone or not that looks under a certain age. I don't drink and if I did I'm 54 and don't look a day under 70.

Yes, take your ID! I was carded a few years ago (was definitely over 45) buying a beer at the Screen Door General Store at the Boardwalk. Told the guy I loved him, LOL! He said anyone looking under 35 must be carded. Did I say I loved him?

Take ID in case a meteor crashes into you or a blood vessel ruptures in your head. Why would you not have ID anywhere these days?

My daughter just turned 21 back in Feb....I took her to EPCOT in May during the F&G...they never even blinked when she order a margarita on 2 different occasions at two different locations! and she looks like she's 16....so I guess u never know!

In my early 40's and looking younger, I've not once been carded anywhere on Disney property. YMMV.

Odd how people are so averse to carrying a credit card sized ID with them, but they wouldn't get caught dead without a much larger cell phone.

Stick your ID behind your phone inside your phone case...problem solved.

A couple weeks ago I was carded at a WDW lounge even though my husband ordered a drink and I did not, and we are both over 30, bring your ID.

Once we had out of country person with us, he had is picture ID of his country and way over 21, not only they card him he was also told because the ID isn’t from US he needed his passport, not very realistic to ask someone to risk losing his passport while in Disney park, but whatever. I agree sometimes they don’t, but they more often do ask for ID.

My nieces in their 20s are always carded. The over-thirty adults in our party, never. But bring your ID to be safe.

My boyfriend and I are 28 and 30 respectively and we were only carded in bars and quick service locations, never at table service restaurants. We're international so we had a picture of our passports on our phone and it worked out great. I'd never been carded in my life and it was quite a shock the first time when the CM asked me for proof of ID at Tangierine Cafe.
