Do CRO DVC room go back into DVC Inventory?

I am on a waitlist for 1 night march 16. CRO has studios and 1 brs available. DO these rooms ever go back into DVC inventory as the date gets closer or do they just leave them empty?

They never were DVC inventory. They were either traded out for a non-DVC Disney trip or were part of the 5% DVC maintains.

Why not just reserve that on cash through CRO? You'll need to have the exact same name on the reservation and have all the reservation numbers listed on the opposite reservation. You will have to check out and check in again and you might be able to stay in the same room. Especially if it is a villa that is bookable for cahs and not one of those that can only be booked using points.

I thought that additional rooms were turned over to CRO at 60 days. I have had MS put me on hold to check to see if they could get a room back from somewhere. I asked MS if this was true a couple of days ago and the Advisor told me that they weren't allowed to discuss it.

don't give up....about a month before our check in we added a day to our reservation last Oct at BWV...the waitlist never came thru...at 7 days I called daily checking for an opening....we had a room reserved at SSR as a backup...the day before the cm i spoke with suggested we stop at BWV before checking into SSR to see if there was availibility...we were lucky and there was ...... good luck with your waitlist

It depends upon if the room was turned over to CRO for Breakage at 60 days. Those rooms can be reclaimed, but that is also the smallest pool of CRO rooms. Given waitlists, I think it is actually pretty rare to have enough rooms turned over to CRO at 60 days to make much difference in point availability.

Those rooms traded to Disney collection rooms, rooms in RCI inventory, and rooms in the retained/unsold point inventory are not available to point reservations.
