This board has definitely helped me--I can honestly say it hasn't negatively affected my experiences at Disney. I enjoy the banter on here about which resort is best 
but honestly--its really nice to hear others perspectives on the resorts, rooms, and everything else involved in DVC. I might not always agree, but the tips, advice, and general conversation have positively affected my trips
