I had one hopping around my bedroom for 4 days this week - finally caught it and let it outside.
We are so used to them that we just walk around them nowadays - too much trouble to try to kill them and clean up the mess. They are so ingrained into the structure of the house that I can't imagine how to get rid of them. We sometimes set traps of yellow sticky stuff, but that's about all we can do.
EEK!!! Buy some Raid--stat!We are so used to them that we just walk around them nowadays - too much trouble to try to kill them and clean up the mess.

We have spider crickets -- or sprickets as we call them -- in our basement. Occasionally they make their way upstairs. DW Lauri hates them. One time one of them chased her into the bedroom and trapped her there until I came home.
And ya gotta love the "crunch" they make when you step on them, right?

Seriously, we go down armed with a cat. The cat gets entertainment and exercise and I can approach the washer and dryer.
Although it is a great excuse when I don't do laundry, the cat was napping.
The crunch isn't as bad as the locust!Seriously, we go down armed with a cat. The cat gets entertainment and exercise and I can approach the washer and dryer.

Maybe we need a cat. The dogs, love 'em as much as we do, are worthless on spricket detail. Spraying or scattering sevin dust doesn't always help because they can jump right over the sprayed or dusted area.

OK....that pic needed a WARNING
