we want to go resort hopping before MVMCP one day. we will be staying at AKV. can we take a bus from resort to resort? we are hoping to hit BC, YC, BWI, WL, and then the monorail loop at the end to have lunch and then go to MK.

thanks!

no buses from resort to resort. You will have to use a park or DTD as a hub and transfer to that resort.

there is a boat that runs between Epcot and HS. It stops at Swan/Dolphin, YC/BC, and BWI in between. You can use that boat to get to those resorts. I will then take a bus to MK and catch the boat to WL. You can also do your monorail loop first and get off at MK OR CR and take the boat to WL from there.

As the PP said, there are no direct resort-to-resort buses. BC, YC, and BWI are all within walking distance of each other, so as long as you get to one you can easily visit the others. The easiest bys option is to take a bus from AKL to DHS and then catch the boat (as described by the PP) or walk to the three hotels.

From DHS you can also take a bus to WL. From WL you can take a ferry to the MK. At MK you can catch the monorail to see those resorts.

However, to get to all four resorts before lunch might be a bit of a tight fit. To save some time, you might want to take a taxi from AKL directly to one of the three Epcot resorts you have listed.

There are no direct buses between resorts. Take a bus from AKV to the Hollywood Studios and board the boat to the Epcot resorts there, or you can walk. There is a walking path from DHS to the Boardwalk. When you finish touring the Epcot resorts, take a bus from the last resort you are at to MK. From MK you can take either a bus or a boat to WL. From WL you can take a boat to the Contemporary to catch the monorail. If you start early enough you should be able to accomplish all this before the party.

hmm, okay. so the best plan would be:
1. take bus to DHS and walk to boardwalk to see BWI, YC, and BC
2. from there, go back to DHS and get on a bus to WL
3. from WL, take the boat to MK
4. from MK, hop on the monorail to see the monorail resorts

how much time should i allow for all of this and to eat at GFC at 2:30ish? if we left at 9:30 or 10, would that be enough time?

You can do it that way. The other way is:
2) Take a bus from the Beach Club to MK
3) Board a bus or boat at MK to WL
4) Take the boat from WL to the Contemporary, check out the Contemporary, and get on the monorail to the other resorts.

No idea. A lot is going to depend on how much time you will spend waiting for transportation and how long you plan to spend at each resort.

your way makes more sense, as it will take some time to walk back to DHS from the epcot resorts. hopefully we will be able to see all of the resorts; i checked out some of them with my mom last year and they were wonderful. dbf hasn't seen any of them, so i'd like to get those in there

Unless the OP wanted to visit the Monorail Resorts once they get to the Contemporary it would be a lot faster using the walkway to the Magic Kingdom and not taking the Resort Monorail.

The entire point of OP's journey is to visit the monorail resorts and end up at GF for lunch.
