I have a HUGE plastic box FULL of Beanie Babies. All still have the tags on, some are in tag protectors. I also have a few of the tiny McDonald's Beanies as well.

Do these things sell anymore? I'd like to sell them all to one person. Do you guys know of a reputable wholesaler?

TIA!! :goodvibes

I don't think you will get too much for them...certainly not like when they were the hot item. They go on sale at AC Moore for 2.99 quite often.

Just a thought....If you are unable to sell them, maybe consider donating to some kind of woman's shelter or I have heard of programs where police/fire give a stuffed animal to kids in trauma situations. If you do a donation, you will at least get a tax write off.

You're right. I should just donate them... especially now.. with what we're going through here. I would feel much better doing that than trying to make $$ off of them.

Thanks. :cutie:

I just sold some at a garage sale for a buck apiece. I was just happy to be getting rid of them. If I have any left over after round 2 of garage sales this weekend, they are going to the local Ronald McDonald house. One of my former co-workers is house manager, and they leave Beanie Babies in the kids' mailboxes each Friday!

They sell for 50 cents to one dollar each at yard sales. Around Christmas time last year I bought 12 of the McDonalds beanie babies, still in the packaging, for $1 and put them in the Toys For Tots box along with some other items we had purchased. The fad has definitely run its course.

Just to second PP - I've seen them in clearance bins for as little as 2/$1.

If you do decide to donate while most donation centers won't take stuffed animals because of potential issues with allergens, etc., around here many firestations, police stations and shelters will if they are new.

Some preschools or elementary schools might take them as Reading buddies

What about Disney Beanies? I'm wanting to get rid of just about all of the stuffed animals we have and I have a complete set of Alice in Wonderland Beanies. Do people seem to buy these any more?

I don't know if you would be able to sell them or not...check ebay or try selling on craigslist.

Since they are Disney, you may want to consider trading them on the "come trade with us" thread here on the DIS...here's a link

If you can't sell them, might as well try to get something you can use!

The Ladies Guild at our Church needed baskets for an Auction they are holding. I put 5 of my beanie babies in a pretty wicker basket and donated it. I'm sure some of the kids at the event will take a chance on them!

I'd check ebay by toy name first -- depending on when you purchased them, some of the earlier ones may still have value.

The common ones don't even sell for 25 cents at garage sales in my area.

We had 3 Rubbermaid bins full of brand new Beanies that were about 10 years old. I let DS donate them to a non-profit as a service project last year.

OP just needs to find a customer like my DH. He LOVES garage sales, they remind him of when he was a little boy going garage-salin' with his gramma. He is always coming home with more JUNK to clutter up my house and last year he bought a plastic bin full of beanie babies for $80. Yes, my DH spent $80 on a bucket of beanie babies. And I can assure you he wasn't thinking they'd be worth money someday, he just thought they were cute and DD would like them!! :sad2:

I've donated stuffed animals to Beanies4Bagdhad. Google them, and you can email them to get the address. Well worth the postage.
