Do babies need their MBs for ME or anything else?

We are bringing our twin newborns to WDW in a few days. They received mbs, but I would just soon leave them home since they aren't going to wear them or use them in any form, well maybe as a teether. Do we need them to get on ME or anything else? Or can I just leave them at home?

They have no use for them so you can leave them home. They'll just be nice souvenirs of their first trip to Disney.

I assume that's true for all kids who are too young to need a ticket? (My son will be just under 3. I ordered his MB in the color he requested and told my husband that it won't actually have charging privileges or open our hotel room door. Hopefully I'm right about that one.)
