Hi

Does anyone know if any CS kids meals offer something different to Sugar Free Jello for dessert?

Thanks Andrea

Pizza Planet offers a huge Rice Krispie treat! I think it was DD's favorite treat during our entire trip!

Most places that only offered Jello before now offer a choice of applesauce as well.

The dessert choices for kids are disgraceful! :sad2: And I hate that it's sugar free. I'd rather them not have an artificial sweetener. And it also means I'll have to share my chocolate cake. :headache: :rotfl2:

At Tusker House (AK) we were able to substitute grapes for the jello and at Cosmic Rays (MK) they could choose any of the adult desserts.

wolfgang puck express...they can get a big cookie, a big brownie or creme brulee....we go there all the time...better deal for cs meal....also if you go to alot of the downtown disney places they are not disney owned so they are not doing the whole jello/applesauce thing, why would i eat cake and make my kids eat sugar free jello on vacation?YUCK

When we did the dining plan last month, ds (8) was always allowed to chose from any of the adult desserts...maybe we just got lucky with our CS choices. I don't even think I saw a jello the entire trip, though I did notice it on the menu.

I really hope it changes by September. My kids don't like applesauce or jello. My youngest didn't even eat baby food. She has texture issues.

That's understandable -- I didn't feed my boys baby food either -- they ate mashed bananas, yogurt, cottage cheese, mashed up peaches, stuff like that. They loved applesauce, though :) Maybe you could use snack credits to buy something better than jello or applesauce -- like a cookie, icecream :mickeybar or fresh fruit cup. :cutie:

I guess having a Brit for a grandmother makes me say "what pork chops WITHOUT applesauce -- No way! Give me my applesauce.

What were some of the locations that you ate CS?

Yeah, but we don't consider applesauce a dessert when the adults get chocolate cake. :rotfl2:

We're just trying to brainwash our children by saying that applesauce is better than chocolate cake, so we're making the sacrifice by eating the yukky stuff, instead. :teeth:

Acutally, DS would be thrilled with applesauce for dessert. The kid could go through an entire jar at one sitting if we allowed it.

I also figure that if they offer grapes or carrot sticks as alternatives to the jello, I'll snap them up, then let the kids share my dessert. That way I'll have a healthy snack later on in the day. We're going to bring along a insulated lunch bag to the parks with us (the kind that snaps onto the Disney Store backpacks). We'll just put whatever uneaten food in there and nibble on it the rest of the day.
