Do all moderate resorts have outside corridors?

And if so, can you hear the noise from the oustide fairly easily, especially if you face the parking lot?

We've got tentative ressies for the POR, standard view room, so that means we may face the parking lot. Just wondering what others have experienced.

All of the mods do have outside corridors.

In all of my stays at POR, I have faced every which way and never been bothered by parking lot sounds.

Many of the buildings, especially in the bayou are far enough away from the parking lots to keep things quiet.

I can't speak to POR, but we've stayed at CBR. We found the resort to be very quiet, I think in large part due to the exterior corridors. Interior corridors just seem to echo and amplify every sound and conversation. We hardly ever heard anyone, unless they happened to be having a conversation just as they passed by our room. We didn't face the parking lot but we were close to it. There's really not that much traffic, since not everyone has a car anyway. I think the only time we were even aware of a car was if the car alarm went off!

Our stay at POR was pleasant and quiet and we were on an outside corridor. As a matter of fact, we hardly ever heard other people at all!

At CSR we were in a courtyard that faced the parking lot (we actually faced the other wall) and we didn't notice any outside sounds.

DH and I thought CBR was very quiet. I agree with another poster who said that exterior corridors seem quietier than interior ones! We found CBR to be less noisy than AKL!
