Do all men need praise when they do yard work?

I think it is funny that men need praise over the yard. I give praise to my dh even though I have pointed out how many times each Sat he asks for it for the yard and we laugh about it (last week he asked 3 times how the yard looked!) I made a big deal over it today as it was SO hot out too. He has even taken PICTURES of the yard after he works in it! I find it cute. I handled everything for the year he was in Iraq, but had to get yard service as I can't STAND working outside and 3 hurricane's were more than the kids and I could handle. I was able to do all his other chores.

No OP, your DH is NOT alone in needing praise!

ETA-DS, 15, is the SAME way when he has to mow the yard!

I don't do much yard work. My wife loves working in the yard and that's fine with me. She's really into her gardens and landscaping and the lawn must be mowed a certain way (on the diagonal).

I don't mind mowing the lawn and trimming. I do a good job, but she's very fussy. She gets a lot of compliments from the neighborhood... and me.

If I walked around making public announcements about each chore I complete, I would have no voice. That's what someone around here does though.
