Only just over 3 weeks till we go on our first trip to DLP and I'm starting to panic about everything and this just crossed my mind.
We've booked for MNSSHP on 14th October and have my 4 kids costumes sorted but just thought should DH and I be dressing up also? I don't mind either way if we do or not but don't want to feel out of place if we don't and mostly everyone else is.
Anyone who's been what did you think? Is there more adults dressed up or not, or is it more half and half?

I see adults dressed up and some not when we go.... shoot, it's DISNEY!!! if it makes you feel like a kid again and you wanna dress up, i say goooo for ittt!! :) If you don't, it won't be out of place :)

We are going on the 7th October. I thought I read somewhere that those over age 12 were not allowed to dress up?? Maybe I imagined it though.

I bought a really cool mini witches hat yesterday from TKMaxx, it's orange and black with a crystal spider on it and I have attached it to my Mini Mouse ears so that and maybe a bit of face paint will do me. DS is going as a pumpkin and not sure if MIL or DH will do much.

Hope you have a good time.

I went last friday and saw more adults dressed up than i saw kids. We dress up every year. it is a lot of fun. I know that they just don't like you to wear masks.

Sometimes I see photos of guests dressed up and in full costume.... and it's not Halloween time. LOL But yeah, adults dress up too. It's kind of crazy how many costumes you'll see on a party night. We're dressing up next year as Fred and Wilma Flintstone. Something not as hot as a normal costume.

Based on last year's MNSSHP, I'd say most kids dressed up, and a fair few adults did too, but not the majority of adults. You won't feel out of place either way :).

Hi we went last year and I think you just can't dress up as a Disney character like they do in the parks ie you can't dress identical to a Princess etc in case children / adults assume you work there etc. Last year there was a guy dressed as Aladdin, and in all honesty we thought he worked there - having photos taken and doing autographs - until security approached him and marched him off . There certainly were plenty of adults in full costume though - some brilliant.

Our children had full costume on and we had accessories (like your hat etc).
So jealous you're going for MNSSHP - we had a fabulous time, I'm sure you will too, we hope to go back another year, have fun.

We (me and 2 DS's) dressed up in 2010 for MNSSHP and after about half an hour my eldest took his outfit off because he felt so out of place.
Sadly I probably wouldn't dress up at DLP again, but on the other hand the more people dress up the more popular it'll become :thumbsup2
Apparently in the American parks loads of guests dress up for the Halloween evenings.

I made my youngest (12) a Phantom (from PM) costume and he did get a lot of attention especially at Phantom Manor where other guests were taking photos of him.

Have fun :)

We're going on the 14th too :yay:

It's just me and my boyfriend ('adults' supposedly) and think we'll wear accessories, ears/hat, maybe face paint! Dbf would like to dress up as a superhero if I let him!

JillRobinson - love the V for Vendetta outfit!

I will be there on the 14th as well with my two girls - they have already decided that they are wearing (even though they don't actually know they are going to Disney!), nothing too exciting though only costumes from Sainsburys. I will probably get some accessories to go in my hair - but if I see something that I like I may get it and dress myself up!

Us at the Halloween Party (2008), as opposed to MNSSHP....but we were definitely in the minority when we entered the park dressed like this before nightfall :scared1:

One walk up main street I'll never forget :rolleyes1

Here is the "official" rules given on disneylandparis.com (not sure if it is written/translated on all "foreign websites")

Information on the Costumes : the costumes are allowed from 5pm for children and adults. Management reserves the right to refuse entry if disguise may affect the safety of others or may shock the children.

Visitors wishing to wear costumes of Disney characters undertake not to ask or not to sign autographs.

Happy MNSSHP everyone :wizard:

Wow just came on hoping someone had replied and there's a whole load of responses! Don't think I'll dress up then maybe just some accessories or something. So looking forward to it now and for those also going on the 14th - hope you have a great time!
We're not really going with a theme so will be a lightning mcqueen racer, princess jasmine, sleeping beauty and minnie mouse. Am sure we'll have a brilliant time and just cannot wait!!!
