I have never used MDE account to book ADR's before. When I make bookings (via the app or telephone booking) will I be required to register a credit card ? Or will it take any necessary details from the card we register on arrival at resort ?

Thank you :thanks:

For most (If not all) TS restaurants, yes, you do need to put your card on file in order to reserve a time.

You aren't charged for making reservations, but if you end up not showing up and do not cancel 24 hours in advance, your card does end up charged. The system was implemented due to people booking multiple reservations in the same night, only to never cancel unwanted ones.

Thank you. Is there any way to do this prior to our ADR window opening (Saturday) as I am going to be out at the time and if I can be prepared in readiness it might save me a few minutes!

A way to add your card? Of course.

Go to https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/profile/ and log in to your Disney account. From there, scroll down until you see an option for "Payment Method". Open that and it should give you the option to add a card onto the account.

Yes - also keep an eye on your card statements. I was charged before our last trip for reservations I made. The charge was the equivalent of a no show fee (even though it was before we even went on the trip) and I had to dispute it with my cc to have it removed.

To be precise, end of the day before the reservations, which in most cases extends your deadline somewhat to less than 24 hours. In the case of most breakfast reservations, less than 12 hours. (But beware that the system is known to get flaky, so waiting to the last minute can be risky.)
Then there's the whole "bump and run" strategy, which can be even riskier . . . .

Do you remember which reservations the charges were for?
