A fellow Dis'er was kind enough to send a pic of the DME "lineup" for his bus... and it read... POP/CBR/SWAN/DOLPHIN!!!!

:confused3:confused3:confused3:confused3

I thought it didnt go to SWAN/DOLPHIN

Anyone know when this changed?

Other posters have indicated that when they paid for the Mears Shuttle they were actually put on a DME bus. So that may be the case here.
At this time there is no free DME transportation to the Swan/Dolphin, unless it just changed within the last day or so.

Yes - that was our route 2 weeks ago Today ! You have to purchase transportation from Mears but sometimes end up on a DME bus otherwise you will be in a regular Mears van.

Our order of drop off was Pop, CBR and then they were heading the Swan/Dolphin.

The Swan and Dolphin labels on the signs in the Magical Express lineups are for Disney Cruise Line guests. By the way, DCL transportation by Disney is not free.

The DCL transportation package costs around $60. per person. If you are doing (an extended) land-sea-land and one of the "lands" is a DCL but not a Disney's resort, use the DCL transportation for that resort and you get the free DME for the Disney's resort.

This seems to be popping up a lot lately. Here's my experience...
I used the Mears shuttle last Sept...staying at the Swan. When I asked the 'not so nice' lady working the Mears area why they didn't just put me on the bus heading to YC/BC, BW since it sometimes stopped at S/D, her response was, and I quote...."DME is for those staying at a Disney owned resort. The S/D are not owned by Disney, you have to take Mears. You won't get on a DME bus!!"
But, there is signage for the S/D at DME. Why? Because the S/D are Disney cruise pickup and drop off spots. So, if someone books a land/sea pkg for a Disney cruise, one of the bus stops will be the S/D. Those are the guests that get to use the DME to those two resorts...no one else.

It seems that the Mears transit to the S/D must vary, or is changing?

As I said above - two weeks ago (Thurs 8/20) we had passengers on our DME bus who were going to the Swan. It was to be the last stop, driver said Pop, CBR and then on to the Swan. The folks were sitting behind us and said they paid for the ride and were directed to the DME area with their mears tickets.

A lot of it may depend on "where" you purchase your Mears ticket at the airport. There is a Mears desk right next to the Magical Express welcome center. You are a lot more likely to be placed on a DME bus if you purchase/pick up your Mears ticket there.

If you purchase it at one of the other ticket counters, they will most likely direct you to their standard van areas.

That is where I got my Mears ticket....no way were they putting me on the DME bus. They were quite emphatic about it.

I wouldn't count on being able to use the DME bus if heading to the S/D. Just assume you will be going on the Mears shuttle..either van or bus. If something truly magical happens and they put you on a DME bus, lucky you. The only guests who can assume they are going to the S/D, on a DME bus, are those who have booked a Disney Cruise land/sea pkg. Other than that....no way to tell.
