DME timing question

Hello fellow Disers! I have a question regarding transit time from the airport to the hotel. If our plane lands at 12:45 pm, what is a safe estimate of when we could get to MK? We are staying at CBR and taking Magical Express. I want to set up a few Fastpasses for our arrival night, but don't want to make them too early. I was thinking maybe 4:00 would be a safe bet?

Also, I apologize because I'm sure this has been asked 1,472 times already.

Thank you!!

Nah, it's only been asked 1470 times! No problem. If you land at 12:45, you 'should' be at your resort by 2:30. But..... Most of us don't make any plans for at least 3-4 hrs after flight arrival. Many things can go wrong....especially with air travel! I would make FP+ choices fro 5pm on.

Thank you so much! We have dining reservations at 8:15 that night so I figured we would just head to MK and hang out until 7 when MNSSHP starts so I'm not planning on getting a lot done that night. Appreciate the response!

Most would not recommend having a dinner reservation during MNSSHP because there are so many party exclusive activities to enjoy that it's better to eat before the party. With just the party ticket you can enter the park at 4:00 so it's recommended that party goers finish eating before 7:00. If you want to meet any of the rare characters (7 Dwarfs, Jack & Sally, the Princesses with their Princes), their lines start around 5:30-6:00 to reduce wait time during the party so some will eat before getting in line or while waiting in line.

As far as what time to make FP+ selections our rule of thumb is 3 hours from arrival at MCO to walking through the gate at the park, assuming all goes well and there are no travel delays or resort glitches that would cause a delay.

I may be reading it wrong, but it doesn't sound like SarBear is planning to go to MNSSHP, but is just planning on going to MK until the party starts, then going somewhere else for her ADR.

This is correct. We aren't going to the party that night. We're going later in the week. We just like to start off our trips at MK so we thought we'd head over there for a couple hours and soak it in, then we have ressies at 1900 Park Fare. We've never visited any of the Deluxe resorts so we'll probably head out of MK around 6:30 and ride the monorail and just explore the GF a bit before dinner. I was going to make a couple Fastpasses for that evening, just to be sure we get something in, but I didn't want to make them for too early and take up a slot we can't use but that someone else could. So much planning. So much. :yay::yay:

Thank you! I can always make them starting at 4, and then cancel the earliest one if we don't think we'll make it by then. Since we have to initially choose 3 I figured I'd do 4-5, 5-6, 6-7, then we have to leave by 7 because of the party. So worst case scenario I cancel the 4-5 Fastpass if it's looking like we won't make it in time.
