I tried looking for answer to this myself but couldn't find it. We are arriving in Orlando the day before our package starts at Disney. We are going to be coming in on a late flight (arrival around 11:35 p.m.) and are going to collect our own luggage and stay over at the airport hotel until the next day. Is it alright to take our luggage down to DME and take the bus the next morning? Or does that break the rules? I am assuming if we have DME luggage tags and our package info it won't be a problem but I don't want to get arrested by the Disney police :lmao:

Yes, people do this all the time.

No problem.

Be sure to make your Magical Express reservation, in advance, for the morning you will actually ride (and check in at your resort).

Now you will not be able to use the yellow Magical Express baggage tags at all. You must claim your bags upon arrival in Orlando. Yes, you would bring your bags to the welcoming area the next morning.

Don't forget to tip the driver at your resort when he gets the bags out from under the bus, to tip Bell Services when they get the bags out of storage, and, if applicable, tip the bellhop outside your room for helping you with the bags. Typical going rate is a dollar a bag with a minimum of two dollars.
