DME: Standby for earlier flight?

DH and I are currently arriving at 10PM, which is fine, but we just might make a flight that arrives at 5:10PM instead, if we hurry. We have DME reservations for the 10PM flight, and we won't have any way of notifying Disney ahead of time of the change.

Will they be cool with us arriving 5 hours earlier? Will it mess up the "don't leave anyone behind" rule at 10PM?

I can't imagine you or Disney will have a problem, since you think you will arrive early rather than late. No matter when you arrive you have to check in at the DME desk. When you arrive on your 5:10 p.m. flight and check in at the DME desk, tell them your original reservations were for 10:00 p.m. or whatever. That way, no one will be "waiting" for you later that day.

Although I wasn't due to come in on a 10:00 flight, I was able to get on a much earlier flight than originally planned (3 hours earlier). I just told the person at the ME counter when I got there. No problem!

I'd call them if the situation is reversed, for some reason you don't make your scheduled flight and you're now arriving at a late flight, maybe after 11:00p.
