DME return on another day than check-out

We got gifted two nights at Saratoga Springs by family members. We want to tack on another week at WDW after that but have to resort to staying off-site as we can't seem to get a continuous stay for all 8 of us together at either one of the moderate or the value resorts for the time we want to go. We can redeem points at the Hilton across the street in Disney Springs and probably will stay there instead. Now we were wondering if the return trip on DME is fixed to the day we check out of Saratoga Springs or if we can push it back a week and still depart from Saratoga Springs? Since there is 8 of us, it would be the most convenient for us to just use DME back to the airport. Otherwise we'd have to get two rental vans or private shuttle transportation to fit us all in.

Pretty sure it has to be within the dates of your onsite stay.

Kind of figured it was but wanted to make sure before I book any transportation back to the airport. At least we get to take advantage of DME from the airport to the resort then. Thanks for the quick answers

Can you book the last night of your stay at a Disney resort (split stay - Saratoga Springs, Hilton, Disney resort)? That single last night will allow you to book DME.

I was looking at splitting the stay but honestly, I think it would be too much of a hazzle to change hotels twice. My in-laws weren't that pleased when I told them we had to switch hotels so if I tell them to switch twice... I don't think that would go down well.

Actually it's not. It's fixed to your STAY. Say you're at the resort for Saturday - Friday. You can use DME to get to MCO at any point during that time. It doesn't have to be on Friday. BUT, you can't take it outside that time.
