DME Reservation Flight Number?

I booked my Disney vacation package before I selected flights. Now that I have my flight info, I want to submit that to arrange for DME.

I went to the online DME reservation link that is provided in one of the above Sticky threads but I'm not sure if it actually submitted my info even though it said it did. I think it might be outdated? Can you still submit DME flight info online or must you call?

The real question I had, was when it asks for the flight number, if I have connecting flights rather than a nonstop flight, I use the flight number in which I will be landing in Orlando, correct? I just want to make sure I'm giving the right flight numbers.

Right. Use the flight into MCO (and out of MCO for your return).

So, if I have a connecting flight out of MCO and I just enter the first flight, how does Disney know the rest of the flight info for checking the bags at the resort? RAC does mean that they'll take the bags and check them through to our home destination so we don't have to do it when we arrive at MCO, right? I think I'm missing something...:confused3

I have a connecting flight out of MCO too at 8:30am, so I assume, after checking in with RAC, my luggage will have my end destination tags on it. If you are concerned, take your luggage on the ME bus with you and check them in at the airport.

I usually have a non-stop flight home, and this is my first time with a connecting flight and I'm glad you brought up this concern. Hopefully some one will come along with their experience with departing connecting flights.

Hmm, your questions are good also. I will have a connecting return flight out of MCO also. It may be something we actually need to call DME directly about if no one here knows.

DME and RAC have nothing to do with each other.

DME only cares about the flights that arrive at and leave MCO.

When you check your bags in at the RAC desk you will give them the info for your final destination.

Alesia is correct in her response, but I just wanted to add that when you check in with RAC at your resort, they will put tags on your bags with all the information that the airline needs to get your bags from MCO, to point A, and then to point Z. For DME, they just care that they get you to the airport in time for your flight out of MCO to point A. RAC and DME are different and have different roles in your travel.

Both are WONDERFUL services! Enjoy your trip.

See my response in the above post. This is something that DME and RAC deal with every day and it works smoothly. Whenever we travel to WDW, we are always on connecting flights. If I fly Delta, I do Lansing-Detroit-MCO; if I fly United, we do Lansing-Chicago-MCO. We've used DME and RAC many, many times and have never had any trouble. The folks with RAC will ask for your photo ID and will confirm with you (at least once) your ultimate destination. If you haven't received your boarding passes yet, they will also print those for you (unless there are problems with the printer which has happened a couple of times; in those cases, you can go to your resort front desk or concierge and they'll print the boarding passes or you can print them from a kiosk at the airport).

Just make sure you check in with RAC at least 3 hours before your flight to get your bags taken care of and that you arrive 15 minutes before your departure time for the DME bus.

You have to call DME. You can't do it online.
