DME question

I have reserved DME for my upcoming trip. I have called 3 times to get my flight info added to my reservation and it still is not on there. Each time I am told it will be added immediately and when I check back a few days later it is not there.

If it is not added when I leave in a week then how do they know to pick me up and how do they get my luggage?

Has anyone else had this problem?

Your flight info really has nothing to do with getting your luggage. They have a process in place to get the bags with the yellow tags on them. The barcode information is tied to your current resort reservation. For YOU to get picked up, go the DME counter (follow the discrete signs) or ask somebody. Check in at the counter with your booklet you got in the mail (flight doesn't matter nor does it matter how long you took in the airport). You will be directed to a series of lanes based on what resort you are at. A few resorts share a bus route. When the bus for that route arrives, you can board. It waits there a pre-determined amount of time and then off you go. Your luggage will be delivered to your room when it arrives at the resort.

Is it not in the computer when you call or is it not on the website?? When we went in May, our DME information was not showing up on the website. WHen the tags came, they were correct, and everything went smoothly. :thumbsup2

Did you call the DME toll free number, WDW reservations, or your travel agent to get the flight information added?

I think calling DME's toll free number directly, as opposed to calling WDW reservations, may result in the flight information not showing up. I don't think it makes a difference, as long as you do receive your booklet and luggage tags.

Your flight number is only collected to give DME an idea of how many people are coming and going at various times so that they can staff the buses more appropriately. As long as you are in the system as having a reservation at a resort and get the DME vouchers, it's not all that important what flight you are on.

Thanks for the info. Once again DIS has calmed my nerves :thumbsup2
For those who asked questions: my flight info was not on my luggage tags, the web site or the WDW res system. I did get the luggage tags but I didn't know how the pickup worked and that is why I was worried. Now I will just relax, use the luggage tags and check in at the DME desk when I get there.

Only 10 days to go and I can hardly wait. :cool1: :cool1:

My friends all think DH and I are nuts since we were just there in Feb. They don't understand it is my fav place on earth. Only you guys can understand that :dance3:
