DME Question- Split Stay?

We're currently in the process of planning a fall WDW trip. We haven't decided on any definite plans yet, but one thing we are considering is staying for part of our trip at a Value resort and then the rest of the trip at a Moderate resort.

If we do decide to do this, how would we book DME? Would we need to book twice- once for each resort? If so, it is possible to book just a DME drop off at one resort on the day we arrive, then book a DME pick up at the other resort for the day we go home? Or would we have to book both a pick up and drop off for each resort and then just not use one of the pick ups and one of the drop offs?

Would we be able to book online? Or would we have to call?

You would just book the drop off for the first resort and the pick up for the last resort. Not 100% sure if you can do it online

When I did my split stay last year I had to book two seprate DME reservations, it was quick and easy and no hassle. Each DME reservation is tied to a resort reservation so in order for you to be picked up at the second resort they need to use the resort reservation number
