There are 12 of us staying at OKW the last week of July. This will be the first time we're using the luggage tags even though we've used DME numerous times. Seven of us will arrive on Friday morning, stay at VGF, so the transfer of luggage is not a problem. The other 5 are landing 10:15 pm and staying at the airport that night (they have a 1 yo and a 2 yo). They will used DME the next morning to meet us at OKW.
Can they use the luggage tags and have their bags sent to OKW for delivery the next day? They are going to pack an overnight bag for the night at the airport.

TIA!!!

Nope. Their bags will not be picked up by DME. They will go around and around on the carousel until someone either steals them or they get taken to the unclaimed baggage office.

They need to take their bags with them.

I *THINK* if they take their bags with them to the Hyatt, THEN put the tags on, they can arrange for Hyatt luggage folks to get the bags to DME so they don't have to deal with them on the bus. That might be worth calling or emailing the Hyatt to confirm though.

Thank you! My sister called Disney, but the CM couldn't/wouldn't give her a firm answer one way or the other. I told her the folks on the DIS would know.

At one time the MCO Hyatt was able to get Hyatt-to-Disney guest bags into the Magical Express system. Not sure whether the Hyatt still offers this but if not then nothing lost by asking.

The Hyatt did not assume liability for the bags and also DME does not assume liability for bags failing to enter their system via this method.

Either way, they can check when they get to the Hyatt. I would leave the tags off until they get there. Then, if they are told yes, their tagged bags will be picked up and transported, then tag them. Otherwise, just leave the tags off and bring them to the bus in the morning.

After 10pm, DME will not handle any bags and if you use the luggage tags you will run a real risk of losing your bags. Your safest and easier option is to pick up your bags at the carousel, and then take them with you on DME the next day. Then you can store them at bell services until your room is ready.
