DME Late Arrivals

I know that DME won't pick up your bags after 10:00 pm (or that may even be up for debate), but my question - really just want to confirm.

For a flight arriving after 10:00, does DME still run? And how often?

Yes, DME runs 24 hrs. I haven't arrived that late, but I've read varying reports of buses leaving with small loads, sending small shuttles instead of the normal coach buses and buses sitting around for a while.

One time a couple of years ago a friend's husband was joining her later in the trip. He came in on DME in the evening at Beach Club, so we waited with her for the bus to come so we could say hello. He was the only person on the bus! Not just that stop, but all the way from the airport!

You'll want to fetch your luggage yourself and take it to the DME area...otherwise you probably won't see it untill "sometime" the next day.

The buses do run all night, but will probably make more stops, (we had 4 stops after a 10:30 flight arrival at Halloween.)

Four stops is within normal DME guidelines (a maximum of 4 stops within a single zone, or a maximum of 3 stops if stopping in more than one zone), so your experience is not evidence of DME having more stops than normal late at night.

Ahhh...funny thing is, the driver told us he never had more that 1-2 resort stops during the day.
(he also partially ran off the road in the rain, but that's another story!)
