DME ?? Can we use it with no reservation?

Me and the kids are flying in from Chicago and meeting my mom flying in from germany. Plan is we get a car. But if my flight is really delayed or cancelled,my mom is on her own.

If this the case, can she walk to the DME counter (she will have her luggage with) and just hop on the next bus with a copy of our res??

No, you must have a reservation. The other transport vendors in the airport had a hissy fit and Disney had to agree to that rule. So if she just shows up she will be sent to Mears where she will have to buy a ticket.

If you are truly concerned, book her a reservation. There's no penalty not to use it and even if she's delayed they will honor it.

Add all of you to DME. No harm no foul if you don't go rather than run into a snag

You do have to have a resort reservation to use DME but you also have to have a DME reservation. It has to do with the airport rules regarding all means of transportation, other shuttles, limos taxi's etc.

So as others have said book her reservation with her flights and if she is a no show on the inbound it isn't an issue.
