DME at night

We have always traveled to the World in the morning. This time we are leaving after school and won't arrive at MCO until 6:30 PM. Will they still send our checked bags to our room? Or will we need to stop at Baggage Claim to pick them up that late? Thanks!

They will still send the bags to your room. However, that can be as late as 3 hours after you check into the hotel. If that's too late, you can ask them to hold your bags until the morning.

My wife and I usually travel late to DW...I always leave my DME tags off and grab my own bags and take them with us. That way we have them and don't have to be disturbed later.

That's not correct. The OP said that she would be arriving at MCO at about 6:30, which means she should be getting to her hotel at about 8:00. ME aims to deliver your luggage in 3-4 hours after you check in (not after you arrive at MCO), so she should get it between 11:00-12:00.

My wife and I usually travel late to DW...I always leave my DME tags off and grab my own bags and take them with us. That way we have them and don't have to be disturbed later.

I would do the same thing - leave the DME tags off your bag, and check/pick up your luggage yourself. Then it will arrive when you do. If your flight gets delayed for some reason, you might not get your bags until very late in the evening, using the DME luggage handling service.
