DME and Split resort stay question

Not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes.

We are going late fall of 2016. Flying from Louisiana to MCO. Haven't bought tickets yet but flight times have us looking like we will get to Orlando around 10 pm or so. Figured 11 or so to finally get to the hotel/check in. We will be doing a room only night either at AoA or Pop before checking out and back into our 10 day package at Pop.

My question is, is there a way for us to not have our luggage delivered from DME so we don't have a luggage delivery at an ungodly hour to only have to cart it back down to guest services in a few hours? (I play on packing night clothes and the next days in carry on if I can make this work.)

If your flight arrives at 10 pm or later, DME will not collect your bags. You will need to retrieve them from the bag carousel and take them on DME with you.

If our flight gets in before then?

And if after if we bring our luggage with us, can it be left at bell services for the move the next morning?

Just don't use the yellow DME tags and pick up your luggage at baggage claim. You'll bring it with you on the DME and either leave it with bell services or bring it to your room. Personally, I'd bring it to the room with me.

There's no way to have DME deliver bags to the second hotel.

If you tag them to have DME deliver, you can let bell services know to NOT allow that that night and also put the Do Not Disturb sign up. Not sure exactly how it would play out the next day but you'd talk to them about bell services taking them to the next resort.

Or you don't tag them, get them from the carousel, take them on the bus with you (they'll go below in the luggage hold), and just leave them with bell services with instructions to move them the next day.

With bell services moving them that next day do NOT expect bags to be available until after official checkin time.

So either I can not put the tags on, bring them on the bus, and just leave them at bell services for the next morning.

Or

If we get in early enough I can tell bell services to hold them there for the next morning for our second check in.

We will be traveling with a 7 year old and a just over 2 year old. I was thinking the lack if luggage moving would be good. Instead of lugging them up for one night to lug them right back down since we will either be switching pop rooms or moving from AoA to pop after just a few hours sleep. Yes I know we won't be able to get the bags till after our rooms are readu the next day. The plan is to pack what we need for that night and the next day in a carry on.
