DME and Departure Flight Time Changes

For our return flight home on May 23, Jet Blue has changed our departure time by close to an hour (later departure). The flight number is still the same as the original booking.

As this technically affects our DME pick-up time do I need to call Disney and notify them of the flight time change or will their system automatically make the change based on the flight number?

Since the flight is now departing almost an hour later than originally scheduled we would rather spend that extra hour at Disney than sitting at the airport because DME didn't realize the flight time change and schedules our pick-up time based on the early departure time.

If you needed to go to the DME welcoming counter, they may double check to see that your flight home is in the system.

At any rate you should check the information sheet you get (at the front desk if not on your door) on the morning before checkout to see that your bus time is about 3 hours before your flight time (4 hours for international flights). If the time to flight time is somewhat less, then go get it fixed on that morning before before going off on the day's activities. Do not say you lucked out getting more time to sleep or to spend in the park.

I just called the day before (b/c they did have me as needing a ride that day) and set up the time. Here's where it got dicey though.

I had a 10:00am flight out of MCO. My pick up time on DME was 7:25. The bus came and left by 7:20 (I made it no problem). We didn't finish picking other resorts up until almost 8:20! I had my luggage on the bus with me and you must check your luggage at least one hour prior to departure. I was panicking. Then, of course, I was in terminal B and they went to A first.

I got to the self check in counter with 15 minutes to spare (I had already checked in and printed boarding passes). That was not fun. I left at 7:20 and got to the airport at 8:45. I got my bag checked, got through security, and sat for 20 minutes before I got on my flight.

I wish they had picked me up sooner because that was way too close of a call for me with my luggage.

I didn't check my bag at the hotel b/c the day before I was supposed to leave someone else's luggage tags and boarding pass were hanging on my door. I just couldn't trust they'd get me my boarding passes/luggage tag after that. Those poor people who didn't get their stuff b/c it was on my door.

It may not be a bad idea to take the earlier bus.

You can always request and get an earlier DME bus back to the airport; make this request at least by the morning of the day before you check out if not sooner.

Again, verify the printed information sheet to be sure you have the bus time correct.

You may not request a later DME bus, closer than about 3 hours to flight time.
You are not guaranteed seats on an earlier bus you did not reserve.

7:25 for a 10:00 flight was a goof; as printed it should have been in the 6:45 to 7:10 time frame with the 7:10 for the last resort stop before leaving Disney.
