Two questions
1. If we don't put the yellow luggage tags on checked bags we have to pick them up, correct?
2. My friend and I booked our flight together for Sunday, not separately. She will be meeting me at the airport however she likes to get there last minute unlike me. Can I check in online and get my boarding pass (I'm not checking in bags- she is) and go through security without her? And then she will check in at the airport check in her bags herself? Or will this be a problem since it's all one reservation? Flying delta.

I told her I'm getting on the flight with or without her but I over think everything and just want to know the logistics of it all. I've flown plenty of times but always arrived with the people on my reservation.

1. If you don't put the DME tags on your luggage by choice, yes, you need to to go to baggage claim and get it yourself. If you don't have the tags but want DME to transport your luggage, see the CMs at the Welcome Center.

2. You do not need to be with your travel party to check in or fly.

Delta gives you the option of checking in only one member of your traveling party or all members. You would just choose yourself and go from there. It is not unusual at all to check-in, go through security, etc. separately. Don't stress about your friend and have fun.

Thank you!
