Now if you know what all the abbreviations stand for maybe you can help me :) I just found out they have pm emh on our arrival day at mk our flight is from 240-410pm so not a super early flight and only about 90 mins. I had us an adr at maya grill at 715 that night but now I'm thinking we may try to eat earlier and head to Magic Kingdom for a little while it doesn't close until 2 am and I had us not hitting a park the following day until the evening so a lazy morning. There are adrs available at 6 and 645 at maya grill think I would ever make the 6 with a 410 landing? Or should I book 645 or even keep my 715 and just try to get seated earlier. Next question what time should I start fast passes? I was thinking 8,9,and 10pm our DS(almost 8) will likely only be able to make it until midnight but I feel like we can accomplish alot from 8pm-12 am in September. How off base am I with my times and my thinking?

Lucky to make resort before 5:30 maybe 6. Check in and either grab a bite in your resort or follow Alesia's suggestion. Maybe FP at 8 or 9 but won't really need it with the EMH.

Have fun!

Given your late afternoon arrival time, and the every real possibility of flight delay, I agree that it might be wise to forget about an ADR for that night. Or at least wait until you arrive and use your smart phone to make an ADR just before you board ME. Personally, I'd grab a bite at the resort CS before heading to MK.

IF you arrive on time you'll probably get to the resort by 5:30-6:00 ish. Go to your room, drop your carry ons, freshen up, eat, travell to the park- its going to be at least 7:30. I'd make your first FP for 8:00.

FP+ for 8, 9 &10. I'd also do QS instead of ADR. you'll have been sitting on the flight for awhile and probably won't want a relaxing dinner. Plus your DS will be too excited to "waste" a couple hours eating.

Agree with everyone else about skipping ADR to maximize MK park time. You don't know what time you'll be rolling into CSR with DME and how long your 8yo will last. You can wing it eating at CSR food court or going straight to MK. You should be able to get a lot done with your 3 FP+ reserved. Even though it's September, I would expect MK to be somewhat busy since I'm guessing this is a Saturday night with evening EMH and MK is open so much later than other parks.

Do away with the ADR. It would be fine if you weren't planning on heading to the MK. But, if you keep it, you'll be watching the time constantly...not very relaxing. I would just do counter service at the MK. If you land, on-time, at 4:10, you should be at the resort between 5:30 and 6. You'll want to get unpacked and freshen up. I would figure on being at the MK around 7:30-8. Start the FP+ selections for 8:15-8:30.
