Can anyone let me know if the week days during August are just as packed as the weekends and would you be able to see Fantilusion, Fireworks etc midweek rather than the weekend and would the opening hours be the same as the weekends?

Another trip is in the planning but as weekends are normally really busy we thought we might go on a Sunday and return Thur/Fri but if there is no difference it wouldn't really matter when we went!:)

I didn't notice any obvious difference when we were there in August - it was just busy all the time! :rotfl2: And yes, Fantillusion and fireworks were on every night - that was the first week of August though, I'm not sure when you're thinking of but parades etc might not be on every night towards the end of August?

We also went in early August and would say the same as MinnieMouse73 - the weekdays were just as busy (and infact the first weekend in January this year was just as busy as those few days in August?? :confused3 ).

Even though it was busy, it was 'do-able' and we got to ride everything we wanted, thanks to Fastpasses, and to see the parades OK. We also got to see Fantillusion and the fireworks which were fab, and worth braving the crowds for :goodvibes

Hi,

August is as Angel Girl indicated, 'do-able', went twice this August once over the w/e and once during mid-week. Both just as busy as each other but it was a great deal quieter than the August of the previous year - that was heaving and not as enjoyable! Why, the difference? No idea but there was a lot of Spanish present in 2007!

That said, would certainly go again! And of course if you want to see the fireworks etc, no choice!

However, for the August trips we normally camp and as we have AP's we are able to come and go without restriction barring any blackout days so we are not pressured into doing it all in a set number of days. For instance, we could go in at 21.00 in the evening just for the parade and fireworks.

We've been three times in August. I think the long hours and Fantillusion/fireworks outweigh any crowds/queues. :thumbsup2

I also thought the parks were less busy last August as compared to when we went in August 2005 and 2006. :)

the parks are busy all through august, but i think the end of the summer season is normally around the 26th of august, so the fireworks won't be on after that. Its a good idea to make use of extra magic hours if you have them, and make full use of the fastpasses to make sure you get on as many rides as possible.

we were there in early aug last yr

it was fab and not as busy as id been warned / expected

yes it was busy in some areas / times, but not overly so IMO

BUT the warmer weather, longer hours and our APs made it enjoyable :)
