Today l bought a copy of "A Brit's Guide to DLRP" by Simon Veness (the new edition doesn't come out until 3 weeks after we return from DLRP unfortunately, so it's the 2004-2005 one l bought). Re: Hotel Cheyenne rooms, on p66 it says "Blocks 17-19, Sitting Bull, Wyatt Earp and Billy The Kid, are closest to the main building and the bus stop for the free shuttle". Can you (is it worth doing so) request your room to be in a particular block? I made our booking approx. 3 months ago. Would l be able to now request a particular room location? If you are staying in one of the blocks nearest the main building (assuming that's where the restaurant & bar are) are you likely to experience noise/disturbance at night?
We are staying at the Hotel Cheyenne with our 2 children (aged 9 and 2 years). So as regards the 2 year old it would be handy to be somewhere nearer the restaurant, shop & shuttle stop. If you are near the main building does that mean you've got much longer a walk to the theme parks/disney village if you decide not to take the shuttle? Is the hotel quite spread out? There seems to be 14 blocks of rooms, 1000 rooms in total, so that's around 70 rooms per block if they are all roughly the same size. What are the numbers/names of the blocks in the middle of the layout.
Basically what l'm trying to say (and taking a long way to say it) - Does it make much difference where your room is located? Should we just take pot luck and find out where we've been allocated when we arrive? Or does anyone have recommendations for good room locations?
Thanks for reading all this, and thanks for any info/insight.
