DLR with a 14 month old vs. 21 month old?

My DW and I just had a trip in October with our 14mo old. We had a great time and had grandparents there to help out, but it was quite a lot to handle. Our DD is at that stage when she is a new walker and can't stand to be cooped up in her stroller. She wanted to walk and climb on everything. (Goofy's House in Toon town became a frequent stop for us.)

So my questions is this: We are thinking of going back again for a week in May. For those of you who have been to DLR with a 14-ish month old and 21-ish month old. How did those trips compare for you? Were they a little easier to handle when they were older? I.E. Were they more apt to relax/sleep in the stroller once they get tired?

We took my son last year and he was 14 mos. old, did great stayed in the stroller almost the whole time, slept on Pirates and had fun. Sounds like you will have different experiences with all different children so I don't think anyone can say for sure what it will be like for you.

But we just got back a few days ago and yet again took our son, now 26mos. old he did fine, a little more carrying him than we wanted and he wanted to push the stroller but all in all a great trip for us.

We've been to DL with DS at 15 months and at, hmm...28 months. Both times we rented a stroller, but he was rarely in it, because I "wear" him. First trip he was on my front in a mei tai, and quite happy and contented. Second trip he was on my back in an Ergo, and he wanted to get down more often, but still, quite happy seeing peoples' faces instead of their heinies. He did play with that big ball outside of Space Mountain last year, and then after that got in the stroller and eventually fell asleep, which was nice. He didn't have much more than a short nap while on POTC when he was 1 year, and that didn't last through lunch up at Royal St. Veranda.

So for us, he was mellow both times, but more mellow and less nappy on the first trip.

I have no idea if that will help you...if you haven't been wearing your babe it might be short notice to get her and you (your bodies!) used to it in 7 months, but if you want to try, carriers like the Ergo make it SO easy, relatively.
