I have Canadian @ Par tickets, 5 day park hopper with Maxi pass included, they were purchased in early 2019 (just pre-pandemic). I know that I can get a full refund of the total ticket price of $782 (which I do not want), but a good portion of that was $~30 (per day (~$150) was the Maxipass purchase.

Now that Maxipass is suspended, I am wondering if one can get a refund of the extra $ paid for the maxi pass, or if it is lost $ paid out on a pre-pandemic purchase.

I am seeing misleading reports of either way (some say you can get a partial refund, and some no refund), and was wondering if anyone had done this as of yet (or your experience in trying this).

I would rather not get a refund of the full tickets and have to repurchase them later, as the price has gone up quite a bit since we purchased them.

The reports for those who got refunds for Max Pass was mostly that they did it in person. There were a few who were able to get it refunded via phone but that seemed few and far between.

You can definitely get a partial refund! I emailed Disney requesting a refund for the MaxPass portion of my Canadian resident hoppers and they emailed me a Disney e-gift card to cover the refund amount. It took about 8 weeks to get the refund but there were no questions asked.

Nice! I have seen the email, so will do so. $150 in my pocket is better than in theirs..

Exactly! When I emailed it was through the US version of the website. I think if you click on ‘contact us’ it takes you to a page with a drop down menu of reasons to email. MaxPass refunds was at the bottom of the drop down menu.

It is, but at least it can be put towards something else we’d have spent more money on anyway. Our refund will cover a couple of meals for us.

Definitely better to have the gift card than nothing! (but not as good as getting a cash refund!)

:)
