DLR for Christmas!

Well, since there is no way for us to get across the country to WDW this year (sigh- free dining, FREE DINING! Guess it wouldn't be fun with a 2 week old, eh?)- my whole family is working on going to DLR for Christmas.

This will be the second time we'll have spent the holidays there... Last time was with my Grams who passed away March 07. It will be bittersweet being there without her, but I know she'll be watching over us!

Anyways, any hints/tips to share for the holidays in the park? Last time, we literally had Christmas dinner at Tony Roma's! LOL! I think we were at the Ramada Maingate- I think this time, my Dad will be booking us rooms at another hotel we stayed at before- it's right on Harbor, but can't remember the name.

We'll have a large party- uuuh, my Mom and Dad, my two little sisters, (20 and 17), me and my Hubby, and our kids- 4 months old (by then), 3 years old, 8 years old, and 13.

Sounds like fun! We're also workin' on a DLR C~mas trip ~ me, my 2 kids, my mom and my grandma!

You're way more brave than me. I'd never do DLR at Christmas, especially with a large group. The one big problem that I see with a large group during that time is the fact that in order to get the most done, you have to arrive early and I just don't know if every one of you can all get up that early (I'm talking like 7:00AM at the gates). But if you can, great! Also use FP as much as possible.

Well, if you did everything TOGETHER, that's true But we've taken this group to DLR a few times already- except with our Grams in a wheelchair and on oxygen, minus a newborn baby. We don't stay together all day- we do our things, come back together, split back up, etc, etc. I really think it's the way to go with large groups!
