Hi folks! This is my first post in this forum, if I'm recalling correctly.
I read pages one through six or seven of the posts here last night and have looked through the first page, and I hope I am not repeating anything that has already been asked. Forgive me if I am!
My family and I are in the very early stages of planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort this fall. We aren't sure when we want to go but the earliest would be mid-September. Someone has a birthday!
Now, my parents are both 60+, and they would be going.
We would be purchasing Deluxe Annual Passports for admission.
Now, our quandry is this. We would be staying on property, probably at the Disneyland Hotel. I read a few times here last night that the Senior Discount is 30% on rooms, when available. Is that better, worse, same as the AP Holder discount? We are trying to figure out if we should buy one of our passes online earlier than the others in order to get a possible AP discount. I know they aren't guaranteed but the only way to really find out if there is one for sure is to give up your AP number to the reservations cm on the phone...right? Other than checking here to see if anyone posts about AP discounts being released? I hope I'm making sense.
I am thinking that it would be better to book the room with the senior discount. Am I right?
Also, are there any other benefits that my parents could get, given their senior status? I just read a post that said there weren't others, but I thought I would ask to make sure.
Thank you for any information and I want to say that this board is full of brilliantly kind people and I have learned so much! Thanks again.
