We're starting to think about where we'd like to eat on our DLR trip in July and have some questions I know some experts here can answer.

1. How long does a meal at Napa Rose take? How much time should we allow?

2. Should we give any planning to what park we'll be doing on a specific day and how that might affect our dining reservations? Or can we just zig zag around the resort? Meaning, is it feasible to do DL during the day, hit Steakhouse 55 for dinner and finish the evening at DtD, even though we're staying at GCH? I just don't think I have my head wrapped around how small the resort is.....

Thanks gang!

Zig-Zagging is extremely feasible and what most of us do. The resort is that small - it really is. Think of the walk back to the DLH as about the same as the front gate of WDW MK to the Contemporary - only line the monorail path with Shops and stuff to look at.

Allow about 3 hours for both Napa Rose and Steakhouse 55. That's what we do.

Keep in mind that Downtown Disney at DLR is somewhat like being at the West Side at Downtown Disney in WDW.

Napa Rose is similar to what you might expect at a signature restaurant like Citrico's or California Grill, as far as time is concerned. Give yourself at least a couple of hours.

To give you a WDW perspective of walking around, going between Disneyland and DCA is similar to hopping from Universal to Islands of Adventure, except a lot simpler. Just a large esplanade separates the two parks.

Walking to the hotels is like the equivalent of walking from International Gateway to the Epcot resort area. Really close, really simple.
