DLR/DCA Swap. Postal.. Please post when you get your package!

ok... the new pool area was redone with the retro monorail theme to it. The pool has a slide that has 2 monorails that go down on either side for you to slide thru. The restaurants by the pool now have a tiki lounge feel to them (they are Trader Sam's (Enchanted Tiki Bar) and Tangaroa Terrace (casual island dining). So you could always do something with a tropical feel for those. You could do ones representing Goofy (he is ususally found hanging out in the check in area of the hotel - or it could be used for Goofy's Kitchen that is there at the hotel as well). Hopefully that gives you a couple of ideas.

Hello, this is my first time "playing." I got it with the bagging instructions and will make sure I follow instructions. I started my paper piercing spot tonight which I think is K1 (toontown.) Do I need to be coordinating with my group?

clip art printed on photo paper...
the cream layer is chalked with brown and then 2nd dark brown layer

Your bagging will be easy you just have the 2 groups. However some people.............Kristi have a bunch and need to bag correctly!!

Nope, just make what you would like for your Paper piecing for your toontown theme, the others in your group will likely coordinate on their own, just because you have the same thing.

I'm right there with ya! My family has never been to DLR (I have - FREE business trip ) but we are "planning" to go next summer! I jumped on this swap so I would have pieces in advance of our trip and maybe I can get in on another DLR swap before I finish scrapping the actual trip (you know - 5 years from now! )

My strategy in signing up for this swap was to get a couple of groups unique to DLR, but to also join groups that would work for WDW too .... just in case! There aren't a lot of active swaps for WDW right now, but it certaily looks like they have them ALL THE TIME, so we just have to keep our eyes peeled ...


Now....... If I don't get out there to RIDE California Screamin' & Mickey's Fun Wheel, I'm not gonna be happy!

Oh yeah ...... bagging & tagging ....... I'm gonna DO MY BEST to follow the EXACT instructions to make this work ...... I even made a cheat sheet!

Group A5 - GCH....these represent the lighting in the resort

the frame is coppery paper and has sparkly dots on corners

Group A6 - DLR ....tiki's are inked, green layer is embossed...the other layer is a dark brown............goofy pieces have stickles and silver ink...black/white paper represents goofy's chef pants

hope these are okay and works for the group!


and got one more group finished.....

Group P1 - animation academy

the easel has black gems...pencil is attached
mickey is a clip art and pop dotted and has red glitter mat
