Promised my 10 year old nephew to take him on a "SoCal Tour" this summer. Booked a week at DLR last week for Aug 16-22 and then saw that the AP blackout dates drop off on the 16th. How do you think the crowds will be that week? We're planning to spend 3 1/2 -4 days in the park; should we go at the first of the week or in the middle? Have to be in LA on friday night 8/21 so we're going to USH that day. We'll have fun no matter what; just wondering....

To all who come to this happy place; welcome. . . will somebody get this kid away from me! - Walt Disney, 1955.

wondering the same thing. arrive on the 16th and plan to stay for 5 days. hope you have fun. vicky

Based upon the crowds before the So. Cal APs were blocked out (late June, I was there), I'd say that DL will be pretty crowded, whil DCA might not be horrible. A lot of AP holders will want to squeeze in one more trip to DL before school starts, especially to see the "Summer Nighttastic" entertainment.

Get there early (which most locals do not), use FP as much as possible, and 3 1/2-4 days should be fine.

We'll be there then too. I'm hoping a lot of schools will already be in session.

We also will be there at the same time, but I do not think you will get your school wish. I think it will be very busy, but we will see, won't we.
