Hey guys! I have a few quick questions. Most of the posts on this thread are about the WDW CP, but what about the one in DLR? Is the one in WDW better? I also had a question about the housing. The housing in DLR seems to cost a lot more compared to WDW, but I don't know how someone could afford to live in them because of how pricey they are? Thanks guys!!!! :)

Yeah, I've been wondering about that too. Is it that you get paid more at DLR? Because the pay seems pretty good to me at DLR ($8.36-11.? per hour), but all the people in WDW CP seem to comment on the low pay. In general, the prices of everything (and the salaries) are higher here in Cali. I haven't looked up the pay rates for WDW, though. But from what I understand, you should definitely have enough money to live on at DLR (especially if you don't have to worry about insurance).

Also, I think everyone wants to go to WDW because there's more there. 4 parks, 2 waterparks (which, according to someone on here, you can get into free in the relatively warm Florida winters), tons of stuff to do all around...more positions available.... That's my guess as to why more people go there.

Those are just my ideas, though. I haven't done either park, although I'm crossing my fingers my pending for DLR will come through. Does anyone with actual experience know?:confused3

Ya I do think that you get paid a little bit more at DLR but it just seemed that the housing was a little bit more and you do have to have renters insurance too. I hope you get in!! :)

Something to remember about the pay rates is that California has a higher minimum wage than Florida. We're at $8.00 while Florida is somewhere in the low $7.00. However, this also means that other parts of life could cost more. I don't know since I've lived in Cali my whole life and I don't know what Florida is like.

Also, you have to get your own housing for the most part in Cali. They have fewer Disney housing opportunities so not everyone gets in there.

I only watched the video for DLR so I don't know much more about how the programs differ. Personally, I applied for WDW because I love WDW and I want to get out of California. Plus, I just see more opportunities for me at WDW and in Orlando than I do in CA at this time.

DL gets paid more than WDW but it doesn't really make a difference because stuff in Cali also COSTS more than stuff in FL.

So when you get down to it, everyone is still eating fastfood and Ramen, lol.

Thanks for the info guys! I read your thread links and they were very informative! I'm just wondering if there is anybody out there that has done the CP in DLR? I would love to hear about how the experience was :)
