Up early for the 8.00 a.m. ferry. All is running smoothly and we get to the Sequoia Lodge around lunch time. The hotel is beautiful. I have stayed at the Disneyland, New York and Davy Crockets before but much prefer the theming of the Sequoia Lodge. We agree we will come back here again.
Before we even unpack we find tigger on the hotel's verandah
We decide to have a meal at Planet Hollywood and I make sure I take Simon's book for the 20% discount.
The view down to the parks and Disney Village is lovely
The restaurant is very quiet as it is about 4.30
We have to have the obligatory cocktails
The food is not that good and we are glad we get the 20% off with Simon's book. We ask for a souvenier glass and are told they don't have any. We got down to the shop and of course they are there for sale. I complain and they offer me one for free
Now we are off to our first park of our visit and we go to the studios. Crusher's coaster ride is way too busy so we do Armagedon first. Not bad then off to do Tower of Terror.
For some reason I much prefer this one to WDW. R'N'R Coaster for the kids and the DHs next. It is then time to leave as the studios shut at 7.00 p.m., just time to take the usual photos
We all feel too tired to go to the other parc so head back to the hotel. We just love the chairs at the hotel on the decking area and get drinks from the bar and sit outside in the heat. This area is fantastic and most of the time we have it to ourselves.
The barman makes us some cocktails
we sit outside and drink them. This is the life!
We move inside to get our Irish Coffee night cap and all agree what a great day it has been.
We go back to the room and are too tired to have any more drinks so just one photo of the room before going to sleep and looking forward to our first full day tomorrow.
