Day 2 - at the Parks
Despite the late night, we still managed to get up early and go to the park by about 10am and needed to upgrade DH's fantasy pass to a dream pass because it was blackout dates what we were there for. So queued at the normal ticket booths, and then got sent round to Donald Desk to queue there to upgrade the card. It did not take too long. When DH and my dad bought their fantasy passes in December the price of their day ticket was not taken off and when we said about it the next day, they said either post off the day ticket or take it in when next back, so we asked if it could be taken off the upgrade price and were told go to City Hall. So off we went to City Hall, after a short trip in Salon Micky (although we could have fallen asleep, the cafferine intake was good), thankfully the queues at City Hall were short and we were going to go there to book for dinner anyway.
City Hall phoned the AP office, who said that the ticket needed to be sent off could not be dealt with by City Hall (buck passing springs to mind), so we filled in a complaint form and remembered to book Innventions for dinner - could not get our first choice of time, 8pm but got 8.45pm. To compensate for the wasted time we were given some fast passes for our choice of ride, Buzz. Being school holidays for some of France we expected long queues, but they were not that bad, but still we used the fast passes from City Hall for Buzz (these were not standard fast passes but ones you went to the exit and went on near enought straight away - brill when the queue was about 40 minutes +). We then did It's a Small World twice, Teacups, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion and used two fast passes from DH's upgrade for Buzz again - with a short break for a coissant snack lunch.
We then went for a walk around the village to see the Steakhouse about booking for brunch on Sunday, and back to the Holiday Inn to get ready for dinner. I wondered if it would be a bit strange at character meals especially without dd, but the Steakhouse said that we did not need to book so we left it incase after Innventions we did not feel like it. When we got back to the hotel our room had not been cleaned, so we spent about 10 minutes explaining that we wanted cleaned while we were out at dinner not straight away although we did want clean towels.
In December we had enjoyed the meal at Innventions, we had had a lovely table in the middle of DLH right by the window with the castle and Main Street Station in front of us. We arrived about 15 minutes early and asked for a table by the window, we did not have as good as view as before but still nice and were seated straight away. We had one bottle of wine, water (asked for a jug, but were given a free bottle of water insead), free apertiffs with the dream passes and 15% off for the shareholders discount - which makes an expensive meal not so bad. Also, because we knew we were having a big dinner we had near enough skipped lunch and had had no breakfast (our hotel booking was excluding breakfast).
At the start of the meal some of the characters did not come to our table, but towards the end and if you waved at them they did come over - hopefully later I will be able to upload the photos, but the best bit for me was Eeyore having a dance with me - at New Year DD had photos playing on the floor with Pluto, including lying down together having a cuddle. That is one bit about Innventions I enjoyed was that you are not rushed, the characters take time and do interact not just pose for photos. The food was OK, I love shell fish and mainly eat the starters whereas DH loves meat so mainly had main course. The buffet was nearly the same as December. We were about the last people there, then took our drinks and sat just outside listening to the piano player for about 15 minutes before a slow walk (waddle) back to catch the last bus.
