ok were coming over in may but its looking more and more likely dd1 will have her leg in a cast (not broken but treatment for a issue she has, long storey). both her doctors and airline have no issue with this but im just wondering about disney. She is 6 so she will be on all the normal kiddie rides + thunder mountain, will they let her on all these ride? also i am planning on renting a wheelchair or stroller there for her will we be able to use the wheelchair access to the rides? as there isnt a hope i would be able to carry her in ques for 4 long days!!! any advise very welcome thank you!!

You need to get a letter from the Dr and then take it to City Hall when you arrive to get a guest assistance pass (or something similar) . You then show this pass to the CMs at each ride and they will tell you what you need to do as each ride is different

Im not sure if they will allow her on BTM - will she be able to bend her leg? Will she be able to walk at all? Im just thinking if it needs to be evacuated at the top you would have to get her down.

Whether she can bend her leg will also decide if she can do other rides - its a lot more awkward getting onto/into things if you cant bend your knee - I had my knee in a brace once after a knee injury and was surprised how awkward some things were (I wasnt at DLP though - just ordinary every day things)

In addition, you might want to talk to the person who will be removing the cast. Have a line drawn on the cast where it will be cut for removal. Then bring along some "Sharpies" and have the characters autograph the cast, asking them to make sure their signature does not directly cross the line.

Once the cast is removed and fully dried out, you will then have a very unusual souvenir of the trip.

thank you both, the cast will be below her knee right down over her foot only her toes will be sticking out. Im really having second thoughts over it as she wont be able to use the pool either and this was one of the main reasons i booked for 4 night so we would have some chill time and still have loads of park time. still no app in the post this morn:sad2: really hope something arrives tom.
